Although we don't need to use the high chair yet and Natalia is technically still too little for the exersaucer, I just couldn't resist trying them out : ) And since it was her first time in both, I wanted to take a picture so I would always remember it. This reminded me of a book my friend told me about called, "Let me hold you longer" by Karen Kingsbury. If you ever read it, you may already have a tear in your eye. It's about how every parent wants to capture their child's "first" times. But the author's children are all grown and now that she looks back, she wishes someone could have told her when all the "last" times would be. Like the last time your child wraps their little finger around yours, or the last time they run up to you still small enough to hold, or the last color picture made for you. You just don't ever know when it's going to be the last time. This book made me cry and if I could send a copy to every parent in the world I would. It makes you appreciate your children even more when you thought that was not ever possible.

I just don't ever want to forget anything Natalia does. I don't want to forget all the little noises she makes, the way she looks at me when I come and get her when she's crying, every little facial expression she makes, every little smile...I just always want to remember. Lord, please give me the mind to remember these things so I can cherish them forever. I just don't ever want to forget.
